HARRY POTTER STORY DICE TO CREATE YOUR VERY OWN STORY! 3D Cube Nets Dice to Roll, FUN English Game.
These are brilliant, especially if a student is struggling to think of his/her own ideas for a Harry Potter themed story…
They simply have to roll the five dice at once!
Dice One will give them their characters Hogwarts House:
Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and 2 x ‘Choose Your Own’ Squares.
Dice Two will give them a main setting out of:
Hogswarts, Hogsmeade, Privet Drive, Quidditch Pitch, Forbidden Forest or Azkaban Prison.
Dice Three will give them their main character out of:
Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, Luna or Neville.
Dice Four will give them their main bad character out of:
Draco, Lucious, Voldemort, Snape, Filch or Dolores.
Dice Five will give them their main problem out of:
An attack from: A Snake, a 3 Headed Dog, A Dragon, A Troll, The Whomping Willow or Hundreds of Spiders.
Dice Six is a blank cube template for students to create their own characters, settings or problems… but they could also create dice for things like solutions, villains and endings etc.
This is a FANTASTIC CREATIVE WRITING task that my students loved and I used in an outstanding Ofsted observed lesson.
Please check my other items, I have other English dice themed activities.

Harry Potter - 10 x Coloring Sheets / Colouring Pages Activity - Printable A4 Mindfulness Worksheets.
The PDF file is ready to print on A4 (you could also select multiple to a page so children have a small set each which they can print and write about / annotate in their exercise books.) I like to print ‘two to a page’ which gives them an A5, smaller version.
These make a great classroom display for your reading area / topic area in class, especially if you click ‘print to A3’.
They’re also good if you print them smaller (i.e. 6 to a page) so that the students can then annotate them i.e. writing specific descriptions next to the pictures.
I have lots more colouring sheets in my shop.
Thanks for looking at our resources.
